I did not ride in the 4th of July parade for 2000,
My daughter had appendicitis and was hospitalized over the 4th, my friends did videotape the parade so we did not miss it.

2001-----

4th of July Parade, Independence, Oregon
This year it was HOT !!  So hot in fact that shortly after these pictures were taken, the bike overheated and refused to finish the parade!  I had to push it back home.

2002-----

4th of July parade, Independence Oregon.   A beautiful day, weather wise.  Not too hot nor too cold.
Although the cameraman did get a bit sunburned!  :)

The images above here were taken by BJ Simpson, prior to the start of the parade, using the HP 612 Digital Camera.  Some GREAT looking bikes here!!  There seems to be a variety of manufacturers and styles.

These pictures were taken by David Leifheit, using a 35mm Minolta camera and scanned in on an HP PSC500.
You can see that all participants were having a terrific time showing off pride in thier country as well as showing off thier pride in thier rides.
